CALLING all chocolate lovers! Now you do not have to wait like the children from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory to win a tour to the chocolate dreamland.
With the opening of a chocolate museum and shop named Museum in Kota Damansara, chocolate lovers can now find out all they want to know about chocolate.
The Museum was built by DR Group Holdings Sdn Bhd, the producer of homegrown brands such as Fidani, Danson and Milton and importer of renowned chocolate brands such as Ferrero, Hershey’s and many more.
Visitors can read on the history of chocolates and the discovery of cocoa and its use.
There are also interactive displays on chocolate and its benefits and visitors can try their hand at chocolate-making.
That’s not all. The 3,000sq ft museum also has a shop selling a variety of quality chocolates from DR Group Holdings and other international brands.
Fidani Chocolatier assistant general manager Khairuddin Abdul Jalil said the museum aimed to educate and create awareness among the public on everything about chocolates.
“The museum has a three-fold proposition called the 3Es for the visitors — namely the interactive displays, experiencing chocolate-making and enjoying a chocolate shopping spree,” he said.

“Visitors can learn how a chocolate-making machine works while admiring the many adorable chocolate sculptures.
“In addition, there are live demonstrations of handmade chocolates by our in-house chocolatiers.
“There is a shop offering a wide array of freshly-made international brands and our own brands at the best price in town.
“Visitors can also make their own chocolates,” Khairuddin added.
He added that DR Group had planned to include food and beverage outlets and chocolate-making classes for children in the near future.
“We built this museum as part of our corporate social responsibility programme,” he said.
The museum is located at MSB2, Jalan Teknologi 3/4, Seksyen 3, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya.
